Rev. Freedom A. McAdoo, is a graduate of Texas College where she received her B.S. in Religious Studies and minor in Mathematics, and a recent graduate of Perkins School of Theology receiving her M.Div.

As a Protho Scholar, Rev. Free concentrated in Pastoral Care and Counseling and received her certification in 2015.

For three years, Rev. Free has served as a Clinical Chaplain at Parkland Health & Hospital System in Dallas, TX where she has provided patients, families, and staff spiritual care, emotional support, nurture, spiritual guidance, case management, advance directive education, bereavement care, family systems counseling, spiritual assessments, program coordination, advocacy, program development, and led Parkland’s 10k plus employees in a Stress Reduction program during its 2015 move into the new facility. She has served as an Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Reese Jones Level 1 Trauma Unit chaplain.

Currently, Rev. Free serves as a staff chaplain at Parkland as the co-developer and lead of the DFW Faith Health Collaborative as the Faith Health Chaplain Coordinator; and as the Pastoral Care: Health and Wellness ministry lead at Joy Tabernacle AME Church.

Rev. Free lives in Dallas, Texas with her two beautiful children, Day and Na’Ke.
