You can’t turn on the TV, read a magazine, or talk to an office mate without being hit in the face with a stark reality; Our nation is a polarized, vitriol-soaked, wasteland of suspicion and red-faced shouting matches.

Regardless of what side of the aisle you sit on, you may feel some political tension within your social circle, professional life, or within your own family. How do we preserve relationships – often with the people we value the most – when our personal values seem so suddenly different? How do we engage people of different perspectives without the conversation devolving into tropes, assumptions and anger?

If you feel like your life looks more and more like the comments section on the political website you can’t tear yourself away from, let’s take a step back together, assess where we really are as an American People, and re-approach the problem as people of faith instead of Republicans and Democrats.
